Bont Vaypor inline skates

The Vaypor has always been the design trend setter in the inline boot market. From chrome, to 3D to ultra shiny microfibers, and the use of high frequency printing, the Vaypor has always been known for raising the bar in the use of cutting edge materials and design. The new Vaypor is no different. The ultra exotic Durolite material makes the boot really stand out from across the rink or across the park. The matte dry carbon base really contrasts the glow of the outer skin. Overall, we have gone for a minimalist look for this year's Vaypor. The design is sleek and modern and allows you to mix and match colors to create a unique look.

The Vaypor is stitched by an expert sewer who has no other role apart from stitching. Unlike most boots on the market that use cosmetic stitching, the stitching on Bont boots actually serves a purpose and stitches the outer skin to the boot itself. This results in less stretch and a longer lasting boot. The Vaypor incorporates a beautifully crafted double stitch into parts of the boot.

Slimline Buckle

A new slimline buckle has been added to the Vaypor. It weighs less than a conventional buckle and is also more aerodynamic. The traditional buckle weighs 18.5g and the new slimline buckle weighs just 14.3g.

Cycling scientists have proven that cooler feet can boost performance. So the new Vaypor has more ventilation than any boot that we have ever made. The tongue is ventilated to let hot air out of the top of the boot. At the front, the protective bumper has air holes to let air in so the faster you skate, the more air that rushes in and cools your feet. There are also ventilation holes on top of your toes that let cool air in and hot air out.

Weight Reduction

Bont has worked hard on reducing the weight of the new Vaypor and the results have been dramatic. The new Vaypor is 18% lighter than the old Vaypor while not losing any of its rigidity and we have acheived this while still maintaining the anti stretch layer between the liner and the outer skin.

Between the outer skin and the liner we add a material that is proprietary to Bont to stop the boot from stretching over time. This material has similar strength characteristics to Kevlar. This material is stitched to the outer skin and bonded to the liner so it can never move or be removed, it becomes part of the boots structure. This layer is the reason that Bont boots do not stretch out as much as other brands of boots over time

Carbon Fiber

Bont source's its carbon exclusively from the world's #1 carbon manufacturer, Toray of Japan. The base of the Vaypor is made by hand by sandwiching cross weave carbon and uni-directional carbon fiber which is embedded with epoxy thermo setting resin. The fibers are hand laid in the matrix according to the strain they will have to bear.
